Boisterous 2017 Barossa Valley Shiraz
"A magnificently expressed Shiraz, the perfumed bouquet shows blackberry, blueberry compote, cake spice, coco and hazelnut characters. It’s equally impressive and satisfying on the palate with excellent power and persistency, superbly complemented by rich texture and seamlessly integrated tannins. Very long and engaging. At its best: now to 2030." *95 points* - Sam Kim, Wine Orbit
2017 was an incredible year in terms of weather, quantity and quality of all types of fruit. Vintage threatened to finish early, before a cool damp spell gave way to an Indian summer, which extended the season and improved the quality and flavour of subsequent wine.
Sourced from selected Shiraz vineyards located in the premium growing area of Barossa Valley.
Fruit was fermented to dryness on skins. Following pressing, clarification and blending, the wine was matured in French and American oak hogsheads for 12 months prior to bottling.
Try it with a good steak, barbecued lamb, roast beef or a tasty cheddar.
