Armenta Cabernet Sauvignon 2014

‘Armenta’ Latin for Herd.

As cattle graziers in the Coonawarra since 1906, the bull has been part of the Reschke family heritage for over 100 years. Now focused on producing the perfect Coonawarra Cabernet Sauvignon, a commitment to quality has evolved, with vines hand pruned and managed to produce very low yields. This has ensured the berries harvested are rich in flavour and character. Softness and elegance of this wine have been enhanced by maturation in small French oak casks.

This hand-selected parcel of Cabernet fruit delivers a rich and fruit-driven wine with flavours of morello cherry and blackcurrant, followed by hints of pepper spice. The wine provides a full-bodied structure, silky tannins, and excellent varietal characteristics – for that lasting impression.

'Wonderfully complex and engaging, the wine shows dark berry, cured meat, cedar, dark chocolate and warm spice aromas. The palate displays excellent weight and richness, well supported by silky texture and chalky tannins. Firm and opulent at the same time, offering terrific drinking. At its best: now to 2032."
