Clear, bright pale lemon in appearance. An aroma characterised by ripe lemon citrus, fresh nectarine and white peach notes sitting alongside subtle glimpses of powderpuff mineral bath salts and white iris flowers. In the mouth a balanced restrained mouthfeel from the interplay of the lemon citrus flavours working in tandem with a fresh mineral acid line and a clean finish to ensure a soft and controlled.

Reviewer's words:

95 Points

Pale straw with green hues, this is a bright and expressive Barossa Chardonnay from old vines.

The aromas are fresh and inviting, revealing ripe white peach, nectarine and lemon curd, layered with citrus blossom, roasted cashew and a subtle touch of vanilla.

The palate is medium-bodied and well balanced, with vibrant stone fruit and citrus flavours supported by refreshing acidity and a gentle creamy texture. Hints of grapefruit and almond emerge through the mid-palate, leading to a clean, persistent finish with impressive harmony and length.

★★★★★ A fresh and beautifully balanced Chardonnay delivering purity, texture and regional charm.

Elegantly composed and expressed, the bouquet presents ripe peach, lemon peel, oatmeal, and nougat notes, followed by a finely flowing palate that's linear and persistent. Delightfully structured with fine acidity, finishing long and refined. At its best: now to 2032

While this is a very early release from the 2026 vintage, it is from a more normal vintage than that enjoyed by the Barossa with the much earlier 2025. Fermentation was in stainless steel, and the team employed some lees stirring. The aim was to enhance the freshness of the wine at all times.

Straw/gold, the nose exhibits aromas of peaches, florals, spices, lemon curd, jasmine and touches of nectarines. There are bundles of flavour up front with this wine, which is of medium length and offering a supple texture. Undoubtedly a style designed to provide instant gratification, it really is one for drinking early, although you could certainly get away with two or three years in the cellar.
