Magnum Opus Nero D'Avola

This elegant wine exhibits a deep, dark ruby red colour with aromas of cherry and ripe red fruits on the nose. The palate presents flavours of black cherry and juicy plum, alongside hints of fine spices such as cinnamon and liquorice. This wine is full-bodied with intense fruit characters, balanced with a refined structure, soft tannins, and persistent length.

Single vineyard - Blewitt Springs. Sand over clay. Hand pruned, hand-picked, small batch ferment. Pressed to French oak barrels, 18 months barrel maturation.

"Deep red, this is neatly perfumed. Red fruits, hints of milk chocolate, coffee grinds and then moving more to darker fruits. Quite savoury in style. An attractive supple texture. The palate sees the emergence of more strawberry and blackberry notes, intertwined. A little earthiness added to the complexity. A fine example of this Italian variety, which seems to be becoming more and more popular here. Easy to see why."
